Our editing team decided that it would be a great idea to feature some of our favorite small shops and Black owned businesses. While this is not a comprehensive list of all Black owned businesses, it is a list of shops and businesses that have brought us much joy in this chaotic year. Be sure to check them out, use our promotional codes (where provided), and comment down below on some shops that we need to check out.
Angelique Michelle's Picks
Clever Girl Craftings
One thing we love about Lydia from Clever Girl Craftings is that she speaks her mind. Now she carries the merch that does it for us. Her clothing breaks down key points in our social justice movement using Bible verses. She is also the original creator of the glitter dipped pen, which you can get customized. Shop her mugs and t-shirts here. Shop her customizable pens here.
Designed In Neverland
We’ve all noticed beaded bracelets making a come back this year especially during quarantine. But if you’re like me and you’re not up to the whole DIY aspect of it then Danielle is your woman. You can get a range of bracelets from Designed in Neverland. The only limitations are your imagination and your wrist size. Shop her bracelets here.
Dom Diva Drew It
We STAN an artistic queen over here. Domonique is a very talented artist who sells tables, wall murals, coasters, hip bags, backpacks, blankets, t-shirts, mugs, clocks, pillows, bedding, you name it. It’s all with her personal designs. If you haven’t checked out her Donut collections or her Black Girl Terrariums collection, then you’re missing out. Shop her Society 6 collections here and her Etsy pieces here.
Have you ever gone to purchase presets and had to stop yourself because you don’t know if they were melanin friendly? Or worse, have you ever purchased presets just to apply them and realize that they completely washed out your skin tone? With Maya’s presets you don’t have to worry about any of that. They’re melanin made which means that the default is beautiful, melanin infused skin. Maya also provides presets that are perfect for lifestyle blogging. You can shop her presets here.
