WandaVision, Cookies, & Refunds

Let Me Tell You!

Hey Dis fam! I hope that everyone’s 2021 is off to a great start! We are a little over 2 weeks in and already so much has happened chile! Let’s get into this recap!

5. WandaVision is now streaming on Disney+

Episode 1 and 2 of WandaVision dropped on Disney+ January 15, 2021. Episode 3 will be released on Friday, January 22, 2021. WandaVision brings Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) back together for a sitcom-styled MCU spin-off, set after Avengers: Endgame. Teyonah Parris makes her first appearance in the series in episode 2 and she looked AMAZING if I do say so myself! So far I am enjoying the series as it is different from anything I have watched! How are you all enjoying the series so far?

4. RIP Dale Baer

Dale Baer, Walt Disney Animation legend, has passed at age 70. Baer was a master animator and animated many classic Disney films like The Princess and the Frog, Robin Hood, The Lion King, The Emperor’s New Groove, and Winnie the Pooh. May he rest in peace. Please see below a statement from Disney animation.

3. Cookie Me Please!

After a temporary close earlier this month following their soft opening in December, Gideon’s Bakehouse is officially open and the girlies are pressed! Now I have heard that these are some of the best cookies known to man, but are cookies really worth a 10 hour+ wait in a panny? Mind you, there is another location in East Orlando, but I am guessing the ones at Disney Springs taste more magical? Yall let me know! I’ll be at the other location when I do try it though lol yall have fun with those lines!

2. You Get a Vaccine! You Get a Vaccine!

Disneyland has been closed for nearly a year, but it was announced that the California theme park will open up a super COVID-19 vaccination site in its parking lot where thousands of people will get vaccinated daily! “The Disneyland Resort, the largest employer in the heart of Orange County, has stepped up to host the county’s first Super (Point-of-Dispensing) site – undertaking a monumental task in our vaccination distribution process,” said California’s Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do in a news release. Could WDW be next? We will soon see!

1. Never Can Say Goodbye

Disney Parks has recently announced that they will end their Annual Pass program for Disneyland and provide refunds to existing customers. A replacement for the AP has been promised but is unlikely to be offered until the pandemic gets under control. Many people completely lost it at the news…..like melt downs! They way my account set up right now, I’m not going to be to upset if someone is offering to put money back into my pockets. I personally think its one of the most thoughtful decisions the company has made so far during all of this. I am confident that what ever program they implement when the California parks can reopen, it will be well worth the wait and old AP members will join and all will be right in the world again!
